NEW ICAN PRESIDENT VISITS BELLSTECH VICE-CHANCELLOR

The new President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, (ICAN), Chief Davidson C. S. Alaribe, MA, FCA, on Monday, 01 July, 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Bells University of Technology, Ota, in his office.

While welcoming the ICAN President, the Vice-Chancellor commended the institute for the yeoman’s job it is doing in training financial experts who have proven to be worthy ambassadors of the accounting profession. In his words, “the university has about 16 Chartered Accountants in its employ and they are doing a great job in managing the finances of the University”. He further said that he can personally guarantee each and every one of them as a competent professional. He affirmed the mutually beneficial relations between Bellstech and ICAN.

In his response, the ICAN President thanked the Vice-Chancellor and Management of the University for giving ICAN members a conducive environment to practice and most especially for always sponsoring them to attend professional seminars and conferences. In his words, this has made them not to become professionally stale and which in turn makes them more efficient and effective.

The two helmsmen later exchanged institutional gifts as tokens of mutual appreciation.
