The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jeremiah O. Ojediran, RE (COREN) MNSE alongside the Chairman, Bells University Parents Forum (BUPF), Mr. David Kolawole Oladapo, has laid the foundation stone of the 500-Seater Lecture Hall donated to the University by the BUPF. The event was held on Wednesday, 27 April, 2022, at the new site of the Hall located south of the Campus near the College of Environmental Sciences.
While laying the foundation stone the Vice-Chancellor lauded the BUPF for their several endowments and interventions in the University. ‘These interventions have always been well thought out donated projects that have been timely and very useful to the University’, the Vice-Chancellor reiterated.
According to him, the BUPF remains a great and unforgettable partner in the success that Bellstech has become.
The BUPF Chairman in his speech affirmed the parents body’s commitment to the University’s progress. He further commended both the University Management and the BUPF Executive body for always working together to ensure the growth and progress of the University. He stated that the project is slated to be completed in six months, promising that the finished building will be delivered to the University by October, 2022.
Present at the foundation laying ceremony were other members of the University management; Mr. Lamidi Tafa (University Registrar), Mr. Sina Adepoju (University Bursar), Dr. Felicia Yusuf (University Librarian). Also present were the Dean, College of Management Sciences, Prof. Chris Ajila and Dean, College of Environmental Sciences, Prof. Akunnaya Opoko with other members of the University Community and student body. The Executive body of the BUPF and the Bells University Students Association were also represented at the occasion.
