A total of 1036 students of 101 Postgraduate and 588 Direct Entry (Top-Up) students and 333 undergraduate students graduated at the 12th Convocation Ceremony of Bells University of Technology held on Friday 09 and Saturday 10, April 2021. The graduating students were from the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (COLNAS), College of Management Sciences (COLMANS), College of Environmental Sciences (COLENVS) and College of Engineering (COLENG).
The Vice-Chancellor said holding the event in April was one of the fallouts of the Covid-19 outbreak, and the resultant lockdown period, which calls for the need to be each other’s keeper and protector.
This 12th Convocation saw 81 students graduating with First Class Degrees, 450 others graduated with Second Class Upper degrees and 336 with Second Class Lower degrees while 58 others had Third Class. A total of 101 bagged Postgraduate degrees.
Alimi Gbemisola Aishat emerged the overall best graduating student for the 2019/2020 academic session with the CGPA of 4.95 out of 5. She also won the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize, the Regency Alliance Insurance Plc Prize for Best Graduating student in the College of Management Sciences and the Best Student in Economics, Accounting and Finance. While delivering the Valedictory Speech, Aishat expressed her gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and other staff of the institution. She urged her graduating mates to go into the world and conquer while being proud ambassadors of Bellstech.
